On 24 September 2025 I was admitted at Eugene Marais Hospital. I was unconscious and had severe long infection. She admitted me and send me to ICU. She saved my life and one immediately realise she is very professional and competent. I can only talk good of her and is thankful for what she has done for me Piet Swanepoel 082 8555 714

About 30 Years ago she treated me for astmah nobody knew I had even my Docter who refferred me did not know. Because I only get it a very slow form that takes weeks to close my chest up and took a long time to open up again...I think she were great. I remember her to this day as she probably saved my life back then.

she does not give you details about your illness, she seems disinterested and does not communicate and give assurances

Dankie Dok . Ansie Laurens en Gesin .

Didn't introduce herself. Didn't examine me. First said I must go to high care after ER, then suddenly ICU. I thought it was the head nurse or something. And a damn rude one at that. Avoid!!

I am absolutely gobsmacked to read the above comments. My experience with Dr Prinsloo has been exceptionally positive. She looked after my father and subsequently my aunt very well. Louise, her receptionist, went to a lot of effort to sort out medical aid issues. When my father was first admitted we received a letter from the hospital staff with all her contact details and how to get hold of her. Whilst he was in ICU we received daily updates via SMS (one person in our family was indicated )and she forwarded the message. The few times we contacted the doctor via email as suggested in her welcoming letter, she answered us within the day. We remain grateful to doctor Prinsloo for helping our dad when so many other doctors failed to diagnose him.

Absolutely no communication. Same problems as above. No answer at practise. Leave messages for sister to phone back which did not happen When you loved one is a patient of dr Prinsloo then you are left in the dark.

I wrote yesterday in reply to the above comment but it has not yet been published. I have a parent under Dr Prinsloo's care and find her extremely competent and caring. She is also the first specialist that I have found that comes out at night if there is a problem with a patient. I was also able to go to her rooms for feedback. Thank you for your caring, Dr Prinsloo.

My vrou is n kwadrupleeg en opgeneem in Eugene Marais Hospitaal onder Dr H Prinsloo. Dr Prinsloo gee geen terugvoering oor mu vrou se toestand nie. So persoon hoort nie on die mediese profesie nie. Verpleeg personeel in ICU weet ook nie wat aangaan nie want die Dr speel stom streke !

Concerning Family

Our 94 year old grandmother was admitted to the Eugene Marais Hospital on the morning of 13th May 2013 in ICU. With lunginfection and heart failure. She is under Dr Heidi Prinsloo’s medical care since then and on previous admission to. Since our grandmothers Admission we did not speek to Dr Prinsloo either personaly or over the phone. Some family members did try to phone her at the hospital when she is doing her rounds. The Nurses keep on telling us that she will phone back, or whe have to phone her practice, which they did and left numiours times messages and they keep on telling us that she will phone back or the Sister will phone back. It is now a week later and our grandmother is still in ICU and we did not for once see the Dr received a phone call or talk to her. We find it very unprofesional and concerning that a Dr is not interested in comunicating with the family of her patient.

My father was also admitted to Eugene Marias Hospital ICU under Dr Heidi Prinsloo (Nov 2013). We phoned her practise in PTA North to speak to her, the lady that answered the phone said that she is possibly busy and taking the following day off but her assistant Petra will phone us back. She never phoned. I then called the emergency SMS service and left a message for her to call us back to get some feedback on my Fathers condition. Apparently she phoned me back but did not leave any voice message on my phone although she was claiming so? This is unprofessional and really a concern, how can we address this?

Wrong date, it should be Sep 2013
