After being with Mastercare for 20 years I am very disappointed in there response to my claim. I submitted a claim for my Samsung washing machine. They were prompt to arrange there a grant to come sort it out. These agents take over a week to inform they can’t get the pc board. I ask them to return my machine I take it to a local repair place who also inform me they cannot get the part but that they can fit a universal one. I give them go ahead. Got my machine back working only minus a few features but I am not worried as I never used them anyway as long as she washes. Rinses and spins that all I need. Now trying to claim my money back I get the run around. The sk the company where they got the part etc etc. and then refuse to pay out. I previously had a tv same problem there agent said could not fix it took it else where was fixed with in a hour. They then gave me 21:2 months payment free no questions asked. I now have cancelled with them lost all my hard earned money paid yo them as each time I do try to claim always excuses. I use to recommend them but no more. They don’t even meet there client half way😡😡😡😡😡will never recommended them ever again.

Stealing from the elderly - should be called MasterThieves - deducting money for 24 years for an appliance that doesn't exist. I wonder how many people are scammed like this?

For three months without a fridge I’m really disappointed by their poor service Every time I call their offices “unfortunately we can’t take your call right now” This means I need a new fridge as they failed dismally to repair my fridge I should’ve known I could have bought the fridge from the beginning

POOREST SERVICE EVER! It took them full 3 weeks to repair my fridge and just a day after the fridge was not working, they told my husband to log a call again and we still waiting even now. They don't care as long as they collect our money every month.

I've had a Master Care (previously Early Bird) Maintenance contract for more than 25 years. What a waste of my hard earned money. Even though I have not had a claim for the past 5 years or more I can recall that every time I had a claim in the past it took at least a week before a technician was sent out and another few weeks before the problem was resolved. It has just gotten worse. After requesting repairs to our stove about four weeks ago a technician eventually pitched up to repair two plates that were not working. Guess what, after he worked on the stove, none of the four are working properly. To all of you out there considering an appliance maintenance contract with Master Care, DONT!!! Stay away. You may as well take your money and flush it down the toilet. The one star rating that I had to give in order to submit this review is highly overrated. I have never had such bad service as I get from this company you cannot even get someone on the phone to help you . If I was the ceo of this company I would fire the whole dam lot of your employees as they are giving you a bad name feel free to contact me if you want to learn some home truth about your company

I think this service is absolutely pathetic. Smeone needs to intervine and I think that we all should get our complaints to Carteblanche as this seems to be the only solution. At least from Carteblanche i am sure we will get some action and feedback. If Mastercare is not interested in servicing their customers please just say so and stop taking monthly contributions from our bank accounts

It seems that Parrow, has no staff you can phone 100 times a day like every 5 minutes the calls are never answered and eventuly you get an engaged tone

It is impossible to contact Mastercar/Earlybird on any registered number. It takes me at least 1 week to make contact after numerous wrong or invalid numbers.

I am a Mastercare policy holder. On Wednesday 9 May 2012 my wife reported a freezer to Mastercare that needs to be repaired at my house. They took her particulars, but did not give her a job number. In the meantime Mastercare did not respond to the request. My wife phoned twice afterwards and on different days. Nobody came to repair the freezer. Yesterday , Monday 14 May I phoned Mastercare myself. The receptionist said that I must phone the agent to whom the job was given. The Agent said I must give her the job number as she would not be able to trace the job number and that I must get it from Mastercare. On return to Mastercare the same receptionist said that her system is off and she cannot trace it if the system is not on. However, she said that she will contact the agent with the job number once the system is on again. In the meantime no feedback was given whether the agent was contacted again or not. On arrival yesterday evening my wife confirmed that nobody came out to do the repair, neither did someone report any progress.This morning I was sent to the again who said to me that my job card is still not printed. This is now almost a week. I am getting the idea that Mastercare is good at collecting premiums but when it is time to deliver they simply do not exist.

I am shocked at the service I have received from Mastercare since the start of my contract. The so called senior people are never at their desks to take calls, no one returns mails or phone messages, they keep our appliances for months once collected for repair.

I have been with Mastercare for 9 years. I have received nothing but poor service from them and lately it's been getting worse. However this time is the worst, I have been waiting for over 4 months for Mastercare to come and fix my oven. I usually wait one to two months, they come, do a terrible job of fixing appliance and soon after it breaks again. I am disgusted at the shocking service. I called them on 15 December to come and repair my oven which was "repaired" by them a short while previously. I have spoken with several people including Paul and recently Milton. They all tell me they'll call me back but they never do. Typical South African service company. Time to move onto someone else. It's sad how they treat their loyal customers.

Master Care's service is absolutely ridiculous. I am a client of them, and wont recommend their services to anyone. I have a maintenance plan with them, and have complained to them, about their PATHETIC service on several occasions. I sent a washing machine and an amp in for repairs, the items were not successfully repaired the first time, and had to be sent in again - which wastes my time, because I have to constantly phone them for an update as to how far they are with the repairs. When the items were finally returned, they were scratched and dented! The washing machine was taken in for repairs, and we had to wait for SEVERAL WEEKS as MC claimed the couldn't source parts for the machine, whilst the parts were fully available elsewhere. They have changed my maintenance plan without notification, and subsequently my debit order was also changed without my consent! I have previously contacted tot u diens @ b.... who helped resolve my queries, as it seems that the only way to receive service from MC is to complain on public sites such as .... & ... I have to date still not received the list of items that are covered by my maintenance I find MC's over all service appalling!

My sister in christ has taken her tv to Bears in Alexandra around the January this year. Till to date the tv set has not been checked. No one from master care wants to take responsibility. The store manager from Bears in Alexandra Oupa has contacted the following employees from master care Doreen, Candice and Bruce non of them is taking the responsiblity. I will ensure that this is on S.... and on H.... . Master care does not even have a turn around period or communication system and at the same time they are incompetent.

(1) Any attempt to communicate witht he Mastercare call centre is an exercise in futility. If your call is finally answered after a long and expensive wait you almost always being put back on hold for an excessive period. After six such calls I have still not received a satisfactory explanation as to why it has taken eight full days to authorize a local repair agent to carry out repairs on my refrigerator - something that should not take more than an hour to do. The call centre operators are unwillign to escalate queries to a higher level and the company seems by the large number of negative reviews already posted to be completely dysfunctional and committed to treating its customers with utter contempt. They do not deserve to be in business if this is the way they operate.

They are quick to sell products to you, but the after service is pathetic. You just never get through to their no. and told your call is important to them, but after two months and numerous messages and calls no one came back to me. I think this is a matter for the Consumer Protection Board.

Reference XN032385 Firstly let me start off by saying how disgusting and appalled I am at the service I have personally received from your company and to make matters worse, even from P D, who I think has now written me off. This is disgraceful especially from a "So called Manager" Let me start at the beginning of this whole episode. My husband took out this insurance. Our washing machine broke and he logged a call at the end of April . After numerous follow up calls, your technician came. He told my Mother in law that it was the brushes and that the will be back to replace them. I waited and had to follow up again and was told that this job card had been completed. Than after speaking to P I was told now that a new motor had been ordered with a control panel. Eventually the technician came and took the motor and told us that it was going to be repaired. So what happened to the new motor.... lies lies lies.. I have phoned so many times and eventually have been told that they are now still waiting for parts, how true this is, is beyond me This is now going into 3 months. I have had to now to do hand washing and alternate between the Laundromat for this whole time. It is so easy for your company to take our money every month and you do not deliver the service. I have kept record of every call end of April J logged a call for them to come and fix the machine 23 May: Spoke to M, she said that the they will send somebody to come and look at our machine end of May - the technician came and said that there was a problem with the brushes and that he would have to order some 30 May - on the system is showed that a new motor and control panel was ordered. 6 June - spoke to J - still waiting for parts 8 June - spoke to M - still waiting for parts 9 Jun - on your system is shows that the job is completed on the 25 May 10 June - l left a message with Bruce for P D to call me. 10 June - P said that they will send the technician out today. He came late in the afternoon and took the whole motor to fix it nothing about a new motor or control panel as I was previously told. 13 Jun - P promised to look into it and call me back 14 June - Sent P a sms, he than called me back to tell me that he is working on this. 23 June - spoke to K - she said that they are still waiting for the parts 1 July - P wont take my calls, so I sent him a sms - no reply 1 July - spoke to V, she said that I must email her and she would handle it. I did, heard nothing, resent the email on the 4 July, still nothing 13 July - Spoke to C she said that the job was completed on the 25 May. I once again told her that it was not and they still have returned my motor. I find your company totally unprofessional and will be taking this matter up with Edgars Head Office and the customer protection act. I have an appliance maintenance contract through Edgars. They outsource to Mastercare. My Hi-Fi system was picked by Mastercare on 09 November 2010. This was after the call was locked a month earlier and it took many follow ups to get them so far to collect. Subsequent to that I have tried unsuccessfully to retrieve the unit. Every time I phone I am promised that it will be delivered tomorrow. This is after you have been holding on indefinitely. This morning it took me 5 calls to get through. You can hold on for twenty minutes, then you are given the opportunity to leave a message; but they never return your call, alternatively it just goes dead and you have to redial. If you lucky enough to get through, the lady at the switchboard say they will deliver tomorrow, which never comes. She refuse to put me through to the manager, he is apparently always out. We are now at the point where she puts the phone down when she hear it's me. I can't even begin to count the amount of hours that I have wasted over many months to try and retrieve this Hi-Fi system

Dear Sir, I have been a customer with your company from +- 20 years If i look over the given services in all these years from Master-care is rotten. 1. your repair system/technician never seen to be solving the complaints 2. you cant get things to your office. 3. your managing services never in and up to the level. 4. your technicians come and look at a problem and go away will never come back and report your office that its solved and completed. 5. having a problem with my 2freezers never seems to be fixed but out of action waiting for master-care. where is master care? 6. and i paying all your monthly premium without FAIL. 7. very upset with your investment for such a careless staff in your company and i got all the credit with all your very very bad services. the client service needs serious attention especially when you call to make a follow up on your appliance and you get cut off each time you call and when you get through they just say its in progress whereas their turnaround ime has already lapsed. Im so furious and annoyed, management please help.

the call centre agents especialy natalie is very rude and drop calls on clients. this is not on as clients pay their salary. they must get repremanded for this and if this persists i think they should get more competent staff to work for them

I have been waiting for my washing machine to be repaired since 13th Dec. It is impossible to get through on the phone and after waiting 10 mins one is requested to leave a message and phone number. No one ever rings back. The service is PATHETIC, yet every month they are very quick to debit my account !! USELESS ORGANISATION !!

The service with Mastercare is pathetic, it takes forever to get throught when phonin the call centre, eventually you are asked to leave a message, they never call you back. I logged a call a week ago and still waiting for a response!!!
