Local businesswoman and author, Su-Mari Koen is launching a new e-book business guide entitled The Power to Ignite. Available exclusively on Amazon.com for Kindle, this book is a practical guide to the powerful art of Continuous Improvement. It shares proven methodology and highlights important do’s and don’ts in engaging staff and improving business results.
Says Koen: “I have read an inordinate number of books on how to improve your business over the years, but never have I been able to find a really practical and comprehensive do’s and don’ts guide.” She adds that there are many businesses that are not familiar with the concept of Continuous Improvement and as a result miss out on the amazing results that it can bring to their business. “Ultimately our passion is to help businesses to be better and this is what this book aims to accomplish.”
Koen is co-owner of Adapt To Change, a Cape Town business that specializes in Continuous Improvement and Supply Chain consulting. Collectively the Adapt To Change team has more than 50 years practical experience and has successfully assisted in the growth of many local businesses.
Excerpt from The Power to Ignite:
“It is all over the Internet. Inspiring stories of amazing human beings who have overcome adversity and have done incredible things - people whose eyes sparkle. Have you ever wondered what would happen if we put all those amazing people together in a single business? What would happen when you brought all that magic, passion, commitment and desire into a single environment? Can you imagine being immersed in such an environment every single day? Feeding it and being fed by it, generating it and receiving it?
How different would that be from your current working environment? What if all those amazing human beings are already working in your business and all you need is to find a way to ignite them?”
The Power to Ignite e-book for Kindle will be available on Amazon.com from the 1st September. The launch price, for a limited time, is $8.
Notes:
What is Continuous Improvement?
A continual improvement process, also often called a continuous improvement process, abbreviated as (CIP or CI), is an ongoing effort to improve products, services, or processes. These efforts can seek "incremental" improvement over time or "breakthrough" improvement all at once.[1] Delivery (customer valued) processes are constantly evaluated and improved in the light of their efficiency, effectiveness and flexibility.
Why is CI particularly relevant in today’s economic climate?
Along with globalization came increased competitiveness and in today’s economic circumstances one of the biggest pressures most businesses face is financial pressure – the pressure to maintain or improve business results in the midst of increasing competitive forces. If your business is not continuously improving every month, it will become stagnant and quite possibly also extinct.
