The secret of his success lay in the simplicity of his relationships, and in the confidence he placed in his followers. He had a special place in his heart for the poor and the disadvantaged. At his death he left behind 280 Brothers and 48 schools with thousands of students. Today St David's shares in the rich legacy of St Marcellin. It is one of hundreds of Marist schools, youth institutions and universities around the world that strive to carry on his work. Since 1941, St David’s Marist Inanda has, in the Marist ethos, been a place of both teaching and learning; a place where children receive the benefits of an education at a school whose strength and history afford every child the opportunity to achieve his full potential, to find both roots and wings. Each boy is encouraged to develop his own special talents and achieve excellence in our core areas of Academics, Culturals, Leadership, Service or Sport. We believe that our boys leave us with the values and skills needed to make a meaningful contribution to their families and to society.

At our Midrand school we take a unique approach to education seeking to engage both halves of the brain and as well as the entire body in as balanced a manner as possible. This is how we do it: We accomodate grades R to 7 in 2018 and will add grade 8 in 2019. Maximum 25 pupils per class. We bring the two halves of the brain into play simulteously by adding to the curriculum computer literacy, abacus maths (both compulsory) and chess (optional). Sport is also compulsory.
