Terrible experience. 10 months and R200,000+ later we are left with an unfinished pool that is, according to experts, unsafe, not fit for purpose and a danger to our property. It's such poor build quality that two structural engineers recommend an urgent complete rebuild. Robert Brooker, the owner of Waterbrothers, conducted two initial site visits in Dec 2022 and was paid a deposit (as well as a subsequent "progress payment"). Since then, in 10+ months, he has never once returned to the property to review the issues raised or the quality of the product his team built. From the commencement of the construction, we expressed concerns that the Waterbrothers team deviated from the agreed-upon design/plans and dug too close to foundations. These and dozens of other issues were communicated and were constantly met with arguments and excuses. Our concerns were corroborated by experts, who conducted inspections of the pool, concluding that it poses a danger to our property and any persons that may swim in it. Promises to send staff from JHB to rectify and complete the build never materialized. We were sold a "complete turnkey solution”, yet it turned out this DID NOT include the electrical installation, filling, rubble removal and an overflow - all of which we then had to pay extra for. Additionally, our driveway required re-graveling, our garden was overturned, and our electric gate and wall damaged (to name a few).
