Review about Reyneke Park, Bloemfontein
It was best described by someone else when they said: "The ablution arrangement is novel and inspired. There are 3 square ablution blocks each with a bathroom/scullery on every face. The face coincides with a campsite. Hence 12 campsites each have a private bathroom, and the bathrooms are spotlessly maintained. The noise: A dead-straight section of the N8 highway runs along the Northern boundary, and this is where the road-hooligans do their speed tests and drag racing on weekends. On the Western boundary there is a horse farm which supplies the park with prodigious quantities of flies. The flies will be in your camp and in your food. On the Southern boundary there is a railway line with a whistle-stop adjacent to the park. The railway seems to be most active between midnight and 6am. Then there is the function centre located in the South-East corner, where Bloemfontein does most of it's marrying. Also active mostly on the weekend, the pain is immeasurably heightened when they bring in local talent to supply the music and vocals on the ultra-powerful sound system. Expect the revelry to continue to midnight at least. There are hostel facilities on the Eastern side which house gangs of labourers. The trucks ferrying these labourers are active during times when others try to sleep. There are also potential security problems from the hostel dwellers not being adequately contained within their accommodations. Security is far from tight. Try to avoid this place on a weekend; particularly if there is a match rugby scheduled at the city stadium." http://www.tripadvisor.co.za/Hotel_Review-g312564-d3975947-Reviews-Reyneke_Park_Self_Catering-Bloemfontein_Free_State.html#REVIEWS This review was accurate and no consideration is given to any complaints.
