I was extremely unhappy with the service I received at your Kloof Medi Clinic Emergency room on the 16 June2021! I received a positive test on the 11 June 2021 for Covid19. I had trouble breathing on 16 June and went to Kloof. I was triaged Red and had to wait from 2pm to 8pm before being seen by a Doctor. Some people seem to be less ill and just passed through the doors with ease and attended to. I never made a fuss at any time always staying polite and kind even though I had difficulty breathing. Never once offered oxygen. When I finally went in they did a blood test and chest xray. My SATS would fluctuate and I told the Doctor that is why I was at Emergencies because at times I would struggle to breathe. I was sent home with a script for vitamin tablets. When I got home things got worse and I actually had a Pulmonary Embolism and landed up in ICU at another hospital. I will never trust Mediclinic Kloof Emergency room and had to pay the bills one for the blood test another for the xray another bill for the doctor and another for using Mediclinic Hospital bed facility in Emergency Room all of 45 minutes care they gave me and sent me home to die! I intend taking the matter to the Health Council!
