Review about Pep Stores - Head Office, Cape Town

Good morning, I was at the Pep Store at Mall@Reds, Rooihuiskraal yesterday 19/11/2024 and was not happy with the treatment received from the cashier, Lethabo. Firstly, she did not greet or acknowledge me, although I greeted her. All tills were empty she walked to a till but I was not sure if she was going to assist me or she was just checking something. There were two of them behind the counter. She did not call me, so I had to ask her if I should go to her, she remained quiet, so I just put my things on the counter and she scanned the two items. I paid for the items, while I was putting my card away, I see she walked away. I was a bit surprised because I did not get my receipt or any indication that the transaction was done. To my surprise, I found the receipt lying on the counter. It is very disappointing to note that the entire transaction was done without a word from this cashier. She was stubborn and irritated that I was there. I am sure this can be picked up from the camera. Is this how Pep Stores train their staff to interact with customers, surely not. How is service monitored at these branches and what feedback is given to staff to improve on customer service? I am a professional and certainly don't want to be treated with such disrespect. The cashier must understand she is not doing me a favour. This is not the first time that customers are treated in such disrespectful manner at this store. I used to love going to this particular store due to the staff being friendly and fun. I would end up buying stuff that I didnt intend buying. Recently the service is pathetic. The store manager is certainly not doing her job as expected. Jenny Naidoo
