Elite Cons? This afternoon at 15h30 an Elite Taxi driver (Vehicle number T37) collected my husband and I in Mowbray, and dropped us near the Groote Schuur Hospital. The trip is probably just over a km long. Most companies in Observatory seem to have a minimum charge of R30 but this driver demanded R40. Even more pathetic is the fact that the controller on duty confirmed that the minimum is R30 and that the driver had no right to overcharge me, but did nothing about it. Goodbye Elite Taxis.
