Review about Pep Stores - Head Office, Cape Town

Good day,
I have a complaint about the PEP stores in Paarl, Lady Grey Street Manager, Elmarie. She is no manager and no peoples person. She is unfriendly and rude and does not care about customers. I went to Pep yesterday with my husband and 3 month old grandchild. Firstly the store is very hot no fans or aircons. The line is in the aisle but only 1 cashier were helping almost 30 people in the que. The manager is in the office constantly on the phone. When reaching the cashier I gave the two pairs of school shoes which was R169.00, which afterwards the R20 as advertised did not go off. Firstly the cashier called the manger in the office which shows no interest in helping out. She carried on with the call. I waited and after 20 minutes the cashier went again. After waiting for 5 minutes without the manager acknowledge the cashier she eventually said to the manager the customer is in a hurry as she has been waiting for 25 minutes already she came out with an attitude no greeting no apology nothing. She is really rude and not at all professional. I eventually left everything on the counter and went to the other PEP in Paarl. Within minutes I was helped and out on my way home. Now I want to know, Where did Elmarie get her training from. I went back to PEP Lady Grey to cancel my lay buy and what a cheek she confronted me at the cashier desk in front of customer that I am rude.. I told her I want nothing to do or talk to her as she is no manager.
Furthermore I am in the same position at my company and would never treat customer like she does. I want to tell Elmarie if this is the kind of staff pep has i am deeply disappointed in them. The cashiers however was very nice and helpful but unfortunately they cannot authorise without a manger. the poor cashier was so uncomfortable with the attitude of their manager. Elmarie consider customers always first and friendliness cost you nothing you are however in a position where you have to work with customers daily. So attitude change and a smile and more willing to help I would recommend for you.
