My 19 year old daughter made an appointment to see Dr Naude as her medical aid required her to be referred by a GP in their limited network in order to see a specialist. After arrival at the surgery, my daughter waited for an hour after her scheduled appointment before querying with the receptionist, who was then rude and told my daughter to be patient. After another 15 minutes, my daughter was called into the doctor’s room. She then sat for another 15 minutes waiting for Dr Naude. His conversation with my daughter made her feel uncomfortable. She was told it would take up to 48 hours for the referral letter. Two days later, when no referral letter had been received, my wife called the surgery and was put through to Dr Naude. His response upset my wife, “I see patients, I don’t do paperwork” after which he hung up. Five days later we are yet to receive the referral letter. Completely unprofessional, rude and evidently incompetent.
