HE PORTRAYS GREAT success with his visual creations by using thick layers of palette knife oils as preferred medium, due to its beautiful vibrant colours. Every piece of art is based on texture and layers of vibrant oils. He prefers working on large canvas, and creates his own unique background texture by preparing the canvas with variuos techniques. As unique trademark, he adds gold leaf and foils. FOR HIS ANIMAL creations, he uses genuine hide as canvas and makes use of the natural texture it holds for him.

The Association is a voluntary, non-profit association with a separate legal personality. It is governed by an executive committee, members of which include well-known artists, art teachers and academics and patrons of the arts. The full-time staffs of the Association are Pieter van Heerden, the director, Nandi Hilliard, the gallery manager, and assistants Koni Koma and Dorah Rahlogo. It has more than 800 members and was one of the founding members of the South African National Association for the Visual Arts (SANAVA), the national organisation to co-ordinate and promote the activities of the various local arts associations.

Lucy Anastasiadis and Barbara Apostoleris created this niche in the South Africa fashion world. "Our clothes have a signature of its own which is not found in any other boutique." says Lucy. We have been involved in the Miss South Africa pageant for the last couple of years. We where the official designers of Jaqui Mafokeng and Amy Kleinhans' ball gowns for their Miss World pageant. Lucy together with a team of expert seamstresses led by designer Shaun Remus, design and manufacture exclusive ranges of evening wear, bridal wear, matric dance outfits and mother-of-the-bride clothing. St. Lorient is able to capture the romance of any look that the customer wants to portray. "We care about our customers and what they look like, we therefore have to offer expert advice and be honest about how they look."
