AS AN ARTIST and sculptor, Freddie refuses to be bound to style and theme and is constantly in search of subject matter which he captures and takes home in order to reproduce the impression it holds for him.

EVERY ARTWORK is a celebration of the beauty and wonder of God’s creation. Works include natrue art, still life art and contemporary art where each piece is individually created by Freddie Skinner in his Pretoria Stuio of Freddie Skinner Galleries.
ALWAYS EMBARKING on new challenges, mediums and techniques, Freddie’s art has gone from strength to strength and his style includes realism, impressionism, expressionism, abstract, decorative and romantic. He welcomes the challenge of every commission work and embraces the feedback of satisfied clients as positive proof of his artistic ability, talent and career.

HE PORTRAYS GREAT success with his visual creations by using thick layers of palette knife oils as preferred medium, due to its beautiful vibrant colours. Every piece of art is based on texture and layers of vibrant oils. He prefers working on large canvas, and creates his own unique background texture by preparing the canvas with variuos techniques. As unique trademark, he adds gold leaf and foils.

FOR HIS ANIMAL creations, he uses genuine hide as canvas and makes use of the natural texture it holds for him.
