Stormy Hill is Caroline's home on the edge of the Drakensberg escarpment where horses and hounds flourish. There are various trail rides to experience catering for beginners to experienced riders so come and explore the countryside on horseback. All our horses are well-tempered and each has its own personality, which is taken into account when matching horse to rider. For those who wish to stay overnight on a horsey or even non horsey holiday. Stormy Hill Horse Trails has a quaint self catering cottage situated in a lush garden alongside the horse paddock. Perfect for those that wish to unwind and relax in the country or come and try our wonderful horse trails. There is an abundance of birdlife and you maybe lucky to see some of our visiting wildlife. Stormy Hill Cottage has a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom. The bedrooms all have wardrobes and mirrors. Bed linen and towels are provided. One bathroom equipped with both ball and claw bath and spacious shower. Large kitchen and dining room with gas hob and electric oven. This also has a wood stove for the cooks that wish to go back in time. The kitchen also has a fridge/freezer, a toaster, a kettle and a microwave. Crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are provided.The living room has a wood fire and stunning views onto the surrounding countryside. A bag of wood is provided for guests to enjoy the fire. Parking is provided in the grounds of Stormy Hill. Guest Access Stormy Hill Horse Trails have 20 hectares (50 acres) to explore. We will require you to sign an indemnity before venturing into any of the horse areas. Stormy Hill has a host of wild flowers and the view from the top of the hill is stunning.
