Collisen Engineering has a long-standing history and was founded in 1981 under the name Collisen Group of Companies. In 1986 Willie van Straaten joined the company to add his engineering expertise, soon after the current workshop had to be extended for capacity and capability reasons. 1993 Mark van Straaten joined the business as a qualified engineer to design and specialise in conveyor equipment. In 1996, Collisen Engineering became a separated entity from Collisen Group of Companies and was registered as a Closed Corporation with its own Management. During 2006 Collisen Engineering stepped into a new era of business when Tshidi Shube and Mark van Straaten was invited to become members of Collisen Engineering cc.
