Hippo Hills accommodates up to ten guests in five private en-suite bedrooms. Upstairs has three large bedrooms; one double and two twin beds. These lead to a large viewing deck and bar area where visitors can enjoy a sunset drink while watching a variety of bird and animal life. Downstairs has two more bedrooms; one double and one twin. All the rooms enjoy air conditioning, a ceiling fan and an en-suite bathroom. Furthermore, an exceptional view of the Crocodile River from each and every bed makes for an incredible African memory. This double-story house has an open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge area with satellite television and an extra sleeper couch. As a visitor you have the option to cater for yourself using the fully serviced kitchen and outside braai or dine at the a-la-carte restaurant, which boasts a large selection of fine African cuisine. Experience game drives in the Kruger National Park, walks amongst wild animals, stargazing in the African sky, open air dining and bird watching. Hippo Hills is located within the fences of the Kruger National Park and visitors, while lounging in the private swimming pool, have been lucky enough to spot the Big 5. Hippo Hills sits on a riverbed where the bird-life is magnificent ¿ lie on the deck and hear the distinct call of the African Fish Eagle. Hippo Hills is situated just 4 hours drive from O.R. Tambo Airport and close to both Swaziland and Mozambique borders. The lodge offers both local and international guests a superior living environment enhanced by an impressive Big 5 safari experience. Our visitors are welcome to go into the Crocodile Bridge Gate, Kruger Park (10 minutes away) on a self-drive or an open vehicle game drive organised directly with the camp. The more adventurous can experience the unique thrill of a foot safari accompanied by an armed game ranger and Shangaan tracker who will walk the bush with you, show you how to stalk impala and the short-sighted rhinoceros or chuckle

Meerkat Manor Guest House is situated in the town of Komatipoort, destination for tourists from all over the world who need accommodation on their way to the Kruger National Park, Mozambique and Swaziland. Our views are second to none, with Kruger Park and Mozambique in plain sight and treetops surrounding us, this feels like another world. Stopover at Meerkat Manor Guest House in Komatipoort and feel the peace and quiet of the mountain spreading over you. Sit on the veranda and gaze at the Game reserve, with giraffe, buffalo, impala and the occasional elephant in plain view. From sunset the snorting of the hippos can be heard, and at dawn the rushing of the Croc River's waters mingle with the early calls of the many birds at home here. Facilities include 7 air-conditioned double rooms with en-suite bathrooms. There is also a family unit, (sleeping up to 4) which is self catering with a kitchenette, full bathroom, 1 separate bedroom, DSTV in sitting room and a big private veranda.
