All suites have superior quality beds, no smaller than queen size, while selected suites contain single beds for uncoupled guests. The finest percale bedding is utilized to ensure a perfect nights sleep. Suites are all equipped with full height mirror door wardrobes with both shelving and hanging space. Self catering units include open plan kitchens comprising of a full size fridge / freezer, stove and oven, appliances, cutlery and crockery. Self catering guests are welcome to dine with the rest of the guests should they wish. Flying Falcon Guest House offers all guests breakfast included in the overnight tariff. Breakfasts are freshly prepared and the menu alternates between traditional English breakfasts, continental breakfasts and specialty breakfasts. All breakfasts include a variety of cereals, fresh fruits and yogurts, toast and fruit juices. We also have a fully equipped coffee machine to offer guests variety of hot beverages. Edenvale dates back to 1903 when it was an unimportant small village where certain Cornish Miners settled after the Boer War. The farm Rietfontein No 9 was originally owned by Tobias Mynhardt whose home is still in evidence today and is called Frank Marret Park. Mynhardt subdivided the area in the early 1890’s into four portions, selling Eastleigh to Father De Lacey and Edenvale to a Mr Amm, a leading Johannesburg grocer. The major portion, which extended from Modderfontein Boundary to Elandsfontein station was sold to the Rietfontein Gold Mining Company, while the remaining portion of Edendale was retained by Mr. Mynhardt.
