The mountain trails start 5 minutes from the front door and a walk to the beach takes less than 10 minutes. Hermanus, a very popular holiday resort, is a 90-minute drive (120 km) from Cape Town. Voëlklip is a suburb of Hermanus about 5 km from the busy town centre featuring mainly holiday homes. Hermanus is one of the world¿s best land-based sites for whale watching (season - July to November). Or swim at the Blue Flag Grotto Beach, Voëlklip Beach, Kamma Beach or Long Bay.
