The cottage is regarded as a single unit, guests have the cottage for themselves. The main attraction of the cottage is the spacious open plan living area upstairs which opens on a sunny stoep. From there you have the beautiful view on the mountain. The living room also features a dining area and kitchen. The open thatch roof provides the living room with its special ambience. The built-in barbeque ensures a cosy get-together even during the stormy winter weather. Two large en suite bedrooms are on the ground floor. The cottage is fully equipped. Inside Facilities The sunny north-facing stoep with its beautiful mountain view is a cosy place to enjoy the tranquillity of a quiet corner of this popular seaside resort. Do your whale watching during the season from the kilometres-long cliff path or walk amongst the splendour of the fynbos on the mountain trails. The mountain trails start 5 minutes from the front door and a walk to the beach takes less than 10 minutes. Hermanus, a very popular holiday resort, is a 90-minute drive (120 km) from Cape Town. Voëlklip is a suburb of Hermanus about 5 km from the busy town centre featuring mainly holiday homes. Hermanus is one of the world¿s best land-based sites for whale watching (season - July to November). Or swim at the Blue Flag Grotto Beach, Voëlklip Beach, Kamma Beach or Long Bay. A beautiful golf course, walking trails along the mountain slopes and seashore, mountain biking, sailing and horse riding facilities, shops and numerous restaurants make visiting Hermanus a wonderful experience. A long late-afternoon walk on the seemingly endless Grotto Beach is one of the many reasons why visitors keep coming back to Hermanus.
