The large Clubhouse has multi-functional lounges and rooms, with fully equipped bars, which can cater for Weddings, Anniversaries and Birthday Parties. The most significant change in recent years has been the laying of “putter” bent grass greens, and 25 strategically placed bunkers. The course has two nines of par 36, for a total par of 72 for the 6121 metre layout. The tree and shrub-lined fairways have received added lustre with the introduction of the bent grass greens, and additional palm trees and wild strelitzias. The two “signature” holes have distinctive water features – the 8th (a par five) has water on the right of the fairway and green, whilst the 17th (a par three) has water in front and to the right of the green.

WCC’s course is a standard 18-hole configuration with fairways running predominantly in W or E directions. The Front Nine is the most challenging. Hole 1, to the left of the Clubhouse, begins with a demanding Par 4, often into the teeth of prevailing SW gales. Hole 3 is a beautiful Par 3 over water and bunkers to test the daring. Hole 4 is another challenging Par 4 with fairway and green bunkers. Hole 6 is the first Par 5 with a dogleg to the right and bunkers around an elevated green. Hole 9 is a sweeping Par 5 with an unsighted green and is usually broadside the prevailing winds. Hole 10 is in front of the Clubhouse, is a narrow Par 5 and doglegs northward to a bunkered green. Hole 12 is a long Par 3 with a heavily bunkered green. Hole 14 is another pretty Par 3 over water onto a bunkered green. Hole 15 is a shortish but challenging hole with fairway and green bunkers and a sharp left dogleg. The home run consists of a Par 5 Hole 16 with an unsighted green, Par 4 Hole 17 and a sharpish left dogleg to a bunkered green and a long, straight Par 4 to the 18th. The minimap on Score Card will give a general layout of the course. Preferred lies: Placing within one club length not nearer the hole on the fairways in play. Bare patches on green: The ball may be moved from bare patches on the green. Free drop: White fence next to practice putting green. Use drop zone. 1 Club length relief - no penalty: Ball comes to rest in stretch of barbed wire along the fence on the 9th fairway. The 13th and 15th are no longer GUR: Find the ball and play it as it lies. Roads and pathways: Free drop within one club length, not nearer the hole. Aeration holes: On the putting green, a ball that comes to rest in or on an aeration hole, may be placed at the nearest spot not nearer the hole. Bunkers: Stones in bunkers are moveable obstructions.
