We have chalets sleeping two, four and six people. All chalets are free standing spacious log cabins with private entrances and have wooden decks overlooking the natural scenic surroundings and the Outeniqua Mountains. Eight of the chalets have fireplaces and all chalets have their own braai facilities. 14 of the 16 the log wood chalets are self catering, and these units are serviced daily. 2-Sleeper Chalets (not self catering) Not suitable for self catering with a double bed, open living area, tea and coffee making facilities only, bathroom (shower and bath) and braai outside (no fire place). Self Catering 2-Sleeper Chalets One double bed, kitchen, separate lounge, (2 sleeper couches for kids no extra cost), fireplace, bathroom (shower) and braai outside. Self Catering 4-Sleeper Chalets With 2 bedrooms (one bedroom has double bed the other has 2 single beds), lounge, kitchen, bathroom (shower) fireplace, and braai outside. Self-Catering 6-Sleeper Cottages With 2 bedrooms (one bedroom with double bed, the other with 2 single beds and bunk bed), lounge, braai, bathroom (shower), no fireplace. The kitchens in the chalets are equipped with a fridge, 2 plate stove, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery. We provide all linen and towels. Wood can be purchased on site for fire places and braais. Our retreat can sleep 70 people and our restaurant can cater for up to 70 people. We are also a family friendly establishment; ideal for families wanting to escape from the hustle and bustle of ordinary life in order to spend quality family time in a safe environment for the kids without any TV¿s interrupting communications, and romantic escapes for leisure time for couples in front of wood fires in the chalets with a good bottle of red wine. Loerie Guest Lodge was established in 1998 at 91 Davidson Road, George. The beautiful old house today houses our reception area, the manager's accommodation and our kitchen, dining room and lounge. The original homestead offers seven cosy bedrooms, furnished in traditional style with antiques and period pieces in character with the house. Whereas the second adjacent house offers four more rooms with an earthy touch and opening to the pool area and garden. All rooms differ in character and include heaters, underfloor heating, a fire place or air-conditioning, tea and coffee trays, a carafe of sherry, TV with MNet (DSTV in some) and WiFi. Our luxury breakfasts are served in a sunny cheerful breakfast room with an old Dover stove and views of the lush garden or on the patio. It includes a full English breakfast as well as a buffet table with various fruits, yogurts, bread and pastries and cold meat and cheeses. Die Waenhuis Guest House is ideally situated in the heart of George for both corporate guests and tourists who visit the Garden Route, Oudtshoorn, Mossel Bay and Knysna. George also offers a lovely Botanical Garden, as well as forest and mountain hikes and a selection of some of the best golf courses in the country. The George Golf Course is very close by. Our conference room and function venue can house up to 30 people and equipment for audiovisual presentations can be arranged.
