To this end, Nevilles Training Centre, under the directorship of Neville has risen to take up this challenge through the acquisition of Nevilles Training Centre Richards Bay. All courses offered will be quality assured by the Metal and Engineering Industries and Related Services Sector Education Training Authorities (MERSETA) Learner, Education, Training and Quality Assurance (LETQA) division. Courses will therefore fall within the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and in accordance with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) requirements. The following MERSETA aligned courses are offered: Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) - 30 Working Days (6 Week Course) Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) - 15 Working Days Stick on Plate and Stick on Pipe CO2 Metal Inert Gas Welding (MIG) - 15 Working Days Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) - 5 Working Days Stainless Steel (Argon Welders Only) - 30 Working Days Stick (Plate) - 15 Working Days On completion of the GTAW and SMAW courses, learners are given the option of welding to a RADIOGRAPHIC test (code) and having their test piece sent for non-destructive testing (NDT) whereupon an ASME IX certification would be issued by a unit of inspection with SABS Accreditation and International Status.
