Islam Today was launched in Ramadaan 1426 - October 2005. The magazine was received with great enthusiasm since its inception. The first 8 page issue was presented freely to the reader on A4 newsprint. Islam Today grew to twelve pages by the forth issue with a distribution of 10 000. By the fifth issue we had outgrown the A4 newsprint and started publishing in tabloid size, and by the 20th issue we had evolved into a glossy magazine which is our current format. In 2012, we achieved the Diamond Arrow Award, in the new business category.

Sinakekele Children is a non profit organization caring for abandoned babies and vulnerable children . What we do: Temporary safe care for abandoned babies - caring for and nurturing abandoned babies while they wait for placements into forever families or re-unifications into extended families. Early Childhood Development center (School) Outreach programs and services in the impoverished community of Oakford: - Church services / Bible Studies and Youth Groups - Library - Academic Support - Sports programs - Drama Club - Crafts - Hospital care packs Sinakekele also runs a volunteer program and invites both local and international people to apply to our volunteer program. A comfortable volunteer cottage on the premises ensures our volunteers a wonderful stay. We recommend that volunteers come for a minimum period of 3 weeks. Sinakekele relies on donations and sponsorship from individuals and corporates, both locally and internationally.
