The accounting and tax practice is managed by Yashvant Vassen, who has been in the accounting profession for more than 20 years. He is registered as a Professional Accountant with the South African Institution of Professional Accountants and as a Professional Tax Practitioner with the Centre for Tax Excellence. Yashvant obtained his B. Com degree from the University of the Western Cape and a diploma in Criminal Justice and Forensic Auditing from the Rand Afrikaans University. He is also registered with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and as a Member of Independent Business Advisors.Yashvant is assisted in his practice by his wife Priya, who hails from one of the big four accounting firms. In addition to overseeing the staff of Y Vassen & Associates, she liaises with clients on a daily basis, ensuring that the clients are informed of all their tax and company secretarial issues. Priya’s current speciality lies with Tax Compliance, Company Secretarial aspects and attending to the administration issues of Y Vassen & Associates.
