Lyall Morgan & Associates, Cape Town

The Company commenced operations in 1985 in Cape Town city centre and thereafter moved to Mowbray. After 10 years of steady growth, the Company required even larger premises and relocated to its current offices in Kenilworth opposite the Kenilworth Race Course.

In 2008 the Company purchased Papillon Insurance Brokers based in Fish Hoek. This brokerage still operates under its original name.

The Company is licensed as a Financial Services Provider in terms of the "FAIS" Act, operating under licence number 7350.
In 1987 Nick matriculated from Fish Hoek High. He was a keen sportsman, including golf which he currently plays off a single figure handicap. After Nick completed his national service, he joined the Protea Assurance Company in the marine department.

In 1995 he was approached by Dave Lyall and Roy Morgan to join Lyall Morgan and Associates as a broker. In 2002 Nick was appointed as a director of the company and has subsequently become a shareholder.
After completing his studies at UCT , David joined Garlicks Head Office as assistant to the Group Accountant. Soon after, he was appointed as Director of IT and later Finance. He left after 16 years service when the company was acquired by another group.

David then spent a few years as a general business consultant and in 1992 founded Fast n Fresh Transport Pty Ltd, a refrigerated trucking company with Woolworths as its first major client. In 1997 David sold the company to Imperial Holdings. He left the business in 2000 by which time the company had grown to a fleet size of 250 refrigerated trucks with staff compliment of 500 people.

In 2002 David was approached by David Lyall to take over the financial and IT affairs of Lyall Morgan. He has been a shareholder and director since that time.
