Professional Golfers Association Of South Africa, Johannesburg

The Professional Golfers Association of South Africa is a member's organization of over 436 qualified Club Professionals, who between them employ over 221 registered Apprentices. The PGA was founded in 1925 and lists amongst its members over the years many of South Africa's greatest golfers. Sid Brews, Bobby Locke, Gary Player, a past president, the Henning Brothers, Denis Hutchinson and Dale Hayes, were and in some cases are still members of the Association. In more recent times John Bland, Hugh Baiocchi, Gavan Levenson and Mark McNulty are all past Captains of the PGA. Two of our members have been inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame, namely Bobby Locke and Gary Player.
