Little Hatchlings Playschool has been operating since June 2001 in the leafy suburb of Rynfield in Benoni. We cater for little ones aged app. 1.5yrs to 5yrs and we follow government school terms.

At Little Hatchlings we believe in learning about the world around us through play because play is the language of childhood. We follow an engaging, structured, predictable, theme-based progrm as routine and predictability are most conductive to a child's feeling of comfort and safety wherein he or she can play and explore with confidence and certainty.

We understand that the childhood is a journey, not a race. Each child is uniquely special, with his or her own love language that must be met on a daily basis for the child to feel safe, loved and understood. We offer children the freedom to grow and learn at their own pace, thus instilling confidence. Playschool should be an extension of the home, therefore family values are promoted. We base our philosophy on Christian principles.
The experienced, dedicated teachers are loving but firm, setting
predictable boundaries for the children and emphasising respect for each other, respect for one’s self, co-operation and good manners. We adopt a holistic teaching approach, nurturing the ‘whole child’ by
encouraging emotional, physical, spiritual, cognitive and social
development. There is a low pupil to teacher ratio, where children are provided with a safe and stimulating educational environment.
