Augberge Bligny, Franschhoek

The 1860 Victorian homestead in the historic centre of the village has been converted into a guesthouse nearly two decades ago. The rooms are furnished with pieces reminding of days gone by. It’s situated within easy walking distance of top South African restaurants; wine farms; fromagerie, chocolaterie, shops and galleries. A country breakfast is served – in winter around the fireplace and summer on the terrace overlooking the pool and mountains.
The guesthouse has eight en-suite bedrooms each with a private entrance; a luxury loft room; interleading family rooms and a room equiped for wheel-chairs. Some of the worlds best cuizine, wine, cheese, olives and chocolate can be discovered here, not to mention its fascinating history laid bare in its architecture, museums and monuments, or the splendour of its surrounding nature. Franschhoek is also a short drive away for daytrips to Cape Town, the coast, the wider winelands area and the garden route.
