Welcome to the most iconic Afternoon Tea in Cape Town - a bucket list experience!
The Mount Nelson first introduced Afternoon Tea in November 1989. It was served in the lounge from the majestic Windsor Table.
The custom of taking Afternoon Tea was invented by the Duchess of Bedford and Queen Victoria’s lady-in-waiting nearly 200 years ago, in order to bridge the long gap between lunch and dinner.
With a selection of over 70 fine loose leaf teas and sustainably sourced coffee from around Africa and a sumptuous array of sweet and savoury delicacies created b y Head Pastry Chef Vicky Gurovich and the talented Mount Nelson, we look forward to welcoming you to this special treat.
Afternoon Tea information:
Seating times are 12pm and 3pm
Days: Wednesdays - Sundays
Price: ZAR 495 per adult, ZAR 325 per child
