The waiting period is terrible at this hospital and also da cleaniness is bad. some nurses are rude and nasty to us patience. I had 2 kids der n it wasn't a very good help. the theatre staff is brilliant at wat dey do and also very caring

Well the theatre staff at tambo memorial hospital are super good but as for the nurses yoooooo they are very bad, when I was there the only thing they talk about was this hot new doctor who just came in the hospital, but some nurses are super good and deserve credit.

I was admitted to the hospital in march this year due to a mva also being 9 month preg.staff at er great but the staff at prelabour ward nasty.Never again thank god I got medical aid now.

I was in a bad fall on A Sunday midday and was taken via ambulance to the Tambo Memorial Hospital emergency section where I was treated instantly and with all due care, but the staff and numerous intern staff. I only have the best respect for the way they handled my case and then transferred me to the hospital section where I was met with a clean bed and the utmost care and attention. I woud like to thank you all who were on duty that Sunday for proving to me and many of my friends that a government hospital still has the care and generosity amoungst all the patients concerned.

Hospital a Crime against Humanity

Visited patient at Tambo Memorial Hospital last night HORRIFIED at the state of the hospital, I worked there 25years ago and this was my first time back there in as many years. The state of affairs at this Hospital is an attrosity against all of mankind, no Human beign no matter color or creed should have to be subjected to such filth and degredation, it is HORRIFYING to see the level of deterioration of this hospital. I am certain that the Human Rights Commision need to visit this Hospital and I firmly believe they would condem this Hospital in the blink of an eye. This Hospital is not fit even for RODENTS to be living there, least of all to let any human beign have to be hospitalised there.

My friend was admitted into hospital on an emergency situation, i called to try and find out what ward he was in so i could visit and i found the nurses to be helpful and it didnt take me too long to find him. Well done guys.

So we hear over the news from the MEC of Health how the service improved at the state hospitals… I must inform you I do not agree with that at all.
I am trying now for weeks to get the correct procedure on how to go about to get my mother in law to go and see the Orthopedic Specialist. I received a referral letter from our GP for my mother in law. Every time I phone, I am being told you must follow procedures and then the phone is thrown down in my ear. How great is that.
How can I follow procedure if no one is prepared to explain the procedure to me to follow….. This is the worst ever. I cannot believe that this rude people are the people that are being paid a salary out of my tax money! How pathetic.

I m so concerned about the service in our government hospitals, everybody is complaining about them.. i am originally from cape town and i can list a number of government hospital that have a fantastic service.
My wife is pregnant and the nearest hospital where i stay it is Tambo, would you guys advise me to get my baby delivered there???

i cant believe that that hospital smells like infection, i mean one of my couzins mothers friend actually picked up TB from there.

I would like to comment on an excellent experience at Tambo Memorial Hospital. One of our wrestlers got injured today and was taken to the hospital. The quick and professional response that we received to go to X-rays, be sedated and to put his dislocated elbow back and then went for follow-up X-rays is commendable. The whole process took only about 3 hours and all was done in such a professional way. We all complain about goverment hospitals. I would like to say the service here was better than I would expect at a private hospital. Well done Tambo Memorial.

I am glad your experience at Tambo Memorial was excellent. I was admitted to Tambo memorial on 22/06/2011 for them to do a lumber punch test, which the doctor that attended to me didn't know how to do firstly, and I was treated so badly there, that hospital is truely a death bed. my fiance's grandfather goes to that hospital and he was treated so badly that you can't believe it. I will never go to Tambo Memorial EVER AGAIN, I would rather die in my own bed or house than be admitted into that hospital

D*** the service of tambo memorial hospital is very poor indeed. Ive never been so humiliated like this ever before,the hospital staff is so rude from the cleaners to the administration block,we are treated like they doin a favour for us,we dont need these kind of people here at the hospital,we are concentrating on getting better but how will you get better if you expecting the worst out of the staff,the only people who help people with a smile its the help desk id like to thank them for the service they provide for people especialy sis BRENDA,and for the rest of the staff,excluding the doctors, sies maan you should b ashamed of yourselves others of them are innocent sorry 4 ths only if i knew the names of those who are guilty i could have gone an extra mile to expose them.
