I bought a beacon wonder bar nut flavour on 20 January 2016 at Africa's Pride Service Station caltex garage in North Coast Road for my 4 year old granddaughter and when she got to the last quarter of the chocolate, she said to me "granny there's a maggot in my chocolate!!", that was the most disgusting sight I ever saw when I checked the chocolate. Beacon used to have Muesli slabs and Cappuccino slabs, really i need to know what happen to those flavors cos they were my only favorites????? At Checkers they are having a sale on Beacon slabs, unfortunately i don't like all the flavors they have. Best regards

So my biggest concern is over the years all the good stuff has seem to be discontinued like for example my personal favorites BROWNIES,MILKYBAR BUTTONS,RASCALS & the 777's chocolate bar just to name a few so is any of that stuff ever going to hit our shelves again?
There are two apparent problems with respect to the "Bunny" sticker promotion of the Easter Eggs:
1] The stores begin to sell the eggs before the actual commencement date of the 'competition'. This results in the "Sorry etc...." response to one's SMS.
2] There is never (or at least I haven't seen it) a list of actual winners in the print media, or displayed in a store.
Allied to the above is, of course, the number of eggs being reduced per box, whilst the price goes up. I mean, really, how MUCH chocolate is there actually around 1 egg, most of which is marshmallow?
Your other chocolate products are usually quite fair in price compared with competitive brands, but this "Bunny" promotion does seem to milk the consumer. "caveat emptor"!!!

I AGREE WITH ELAINE THE EASTER EGG HUNT IS A SCAM I HAD GOLDEN EGG AND BUNNY STICKERS EVERY TIME I SMS SAME STORY SORRY YOU NOT A WINNER. I AM NOT A SORE LOOSER BUT NOT ONLY DO WE WASTED MONEY ON SMS THEN YOU SEEM TO HAVE MAID THE EGGS SMALLER TO WHAT HAPEN TO YOUR QA.

Very dissapointed ! Sugus are not being sold in any store I have looked everywhere.Don't know if maby it has been discontinued? That makes me unhappy , because me being classified as a diabetic i am only allowed a certain ammount of sugar per day.Sugus were not very high in sugar and was one of the few sweets I could eat. I am not usualy one to complain but they were just soOo good.I love all beacon products because you always deliver high quality that my hole family enjoy's. Soo please do me this one favour and bring it back or let me know where i can find it !!!!!!
Enough now. After years I'm fed up with these rolls often missing one of the gums paid for. Either Beacons are not shy to grab a few percentages or there is an endemic theft issue at the supermarkets. I use S*** Avonmore Road, Durban.

this mail is in regards to the easter egges hunt competition. personally i think u guys are mislaeading consumers into buying your products due to the competition thats on so far i had 5 golden eggs and whenever i sms the only result i get is sorry u not a winner i would like for the whole of south africa to know thats this competition is nothing but a money making scheme. i am going to make people aware of this though

The Quality control of your easter eggs leaves a lot to be desired - A lot of eggs do not have any yellow yolk. This is false advertising, and i do not get what I expected

I am very dissapointed as I am a lover of the milk Tv bar 90g and so is my 4 year old daughter. Last wek i purchased a slab for Starwood Spar and it was not a Tv bar but a milky bar. There was no toasted rice crispies and coconut in it.If I wanted to eat a milky bar thats what I would have bought. I have the barcode if you need it. You actually need to be more careful with this as you could just end up losing sales. Everytime I go to purchase chocolate I am going to wonder if it's the right thing.
Mini Liquorice Allsorts needs to change their name to "Mini Liquorice Allthree".
The new white packets are cleverly made without the see-through window that the old packets had, to conceal the fact that that there are only 3 different types of (probably the cheapest) candies inside.
The outside of the packet shows a picture of all your favorites to trick you into buying them, but it is indeed a trick!!
Cheap move, Beacon! Your candy is bad and you should feel bad!
False advertising is illegal and us customers have the right to demand either a refund, repair or replacement for any product sold that is faulty or does not live up to expectations!

I was n dedicated user of you Newlook choccolate bar, the white chocolate bar. Regretfully you seem to have taken it of the market. Is there any possibility that it will appear again? I prefer white chocolate not only for the taste but for health reasons.

For bringing back RASCALS ... brought back a lot of childhood memeries and now our kids of today get to have that .... along with the Proz come the Conz ... wasn't ver happy opening my TV bar finding the package wasn sealed proply which could perhaps have resulted in the decoloration of the bar ... very disappointed!

Your 90g Chocs. It becomes SMALLER. The blocks less. The Package a little BIGGER. Its taking you years to do this. But the PRICE increases. Do you really think we do not notice this? Instead, make it HALF the size from tomorrow. make the PACKAGE double the size,and charge double the already overpriced amount, and s***w us once and for all.Shame on you. I dare you to put this on your reviews. You won't. I am sure.

The Marshmallow Easter Eggs were of a very poor quality "small, flat and SUGARY"....they should not have been FOR SALE OR on the shelves I am very dissappointed "if that helps" BEACON WHATZ UP you were the best..........
I have just been able to contact the general manager of tiger in durban who managers for beacon,i am shocked and disgusted by the way these competitions are run,firstly due to the fact that it is easter i bought at least 150 soft mallow easter eggs for my kids also in the hope that they would find this mysterious code,we found one,then tried to contact the number given on the box,on the choclate wrapper and then on the website,each time i recieved no answer or number not known,or number not indentified,etc,i then went onto beacon website and found quite afew people complaining just like myself,my children are now upset,what is this?some kind of money making scam supported by beacon,of all companies i would have thought they would know better.I have just now contacted the general manager of tiger in durban and basically it was assumed that i am a child or a old age pensioner and probably do not know what i am doing when it comes to a phone call,also that hundreds of people have won this competition,i am sorry but i very much doubt that,i do hope you take this seriously because i am quite happy to place this on facebook to find more complaining people.
Beacon Marshmellow easter eggs: I am so upset that every time I purchase a box of the marshmellow eggs, the yellow mello is sugary and stale or the chocolate is white. yesterday I decided to buy the milk chocolate eggs with creme centres ones again I was dissapointed as all the caramel ones, the caramel was outside the eggs and everything was sticky. Please can you jack up your quality contol department.

The easter egg promotion is fine. Beacon forces us to buy a whole box of easter eggs so that the kids can join the bunny club.. this is still ok. buying the box is ok!! but if the code on the box is not working it becomes a problem to me and my son. I refuse to buy another box as I see this as a scam for the public to buy 4 or 5 boxes just to find one code that works........!!!!!!

Beacon Marshmellow easter eggs: I am so upset that every time I purchase a box of the marshmellow eggs, which are no longer a cheap item and considered a luxury, that these eggs are merely lined with chocolate and the yellow mello is sugary and stale. At first I thought it to be the shop, but after purchasing another box at another store, I was disappointed that I had once again wasted my money. In future I will not be buying any of my favourite eggs, wat a sad case.

Your Newlook sweet is got to be rated the best, but to find them instore is difficult as they are never displayed like Lunch Bar. Give them the space and you will see the difference in sales.

It is with great disapointment that I am not buying the Liquirice ALL SORTS sweets anymore. If the package has change, the name ALL SORTS must be removed as there are no more, the sweets with the sugar coated around etz. All available in a pack is the two layer candy with piece of liquirice in the middle and that is all in the packet. Where are the variety in the ALL SORTS packet gone to?

While I was shopping at Checkers recently I came across a “Ginger Pieces & Biscuit Chocolate” Bar and as I love ginger I decided to buy one to try. I was not disappointed. It was really delicious and I loved it so much that I went straight back to the shop to buy myself another 2 bars and also got one for a friend of mine who also likes ginger. She too has enjoyed the chocolate immensely and is now purchasing that particular one for herself! The reason I am writing to tell you this is to request that you will not keep this as a “Limited Edition” as is written on the wrapper but that you will continue to make it for all us “ginger lovers”!

Please can you tell me why two bars of chocolate that I have recently bought - Orange Peel & Almond Dark Chocolate - were all covered in white coating - like mould and yet the best by date is 10/01/12
Me and my daughter love Beacon pink and white peanuts, but these day not all the sweets taste the same. We did check the expiry date but that was fine. Did you change the coatings of the peanuts?
Beacon has always been my favorite chocolate because of its incredibly smooth texture. Bought myself a 200g slab today, looking forward to the 'New and Improved' recipe, only to find that the creaminess and smoothness I used to enjoy so much is simply not there but has been replaced with an unpleasant floury texture. If you guys 'improved' it for us, the consumers, is there any chance that you can 'unimprove' it please???? I would love to be able to eat my favorite chocolate again.

I love beacon Hazel nut, the chocolate is not bitter just sweet enough, the new coconut and biscuit is nice, it would be heaven if it can have a bit of nutty taste- just a suggestion, there is another brand with that but thier chocolate is bitter 4me. I love beacon, keep it SWEET

i totally love the easter egg but recently i found out that the easter egg has beef gelatine and being a hindu its against my religion to eat beef. so is there no way that you guys can keep making the easter egg but without using beef/pork gelatine. there are lots of hindus who dont eat beef and pork. I am of Hindu origin and we love the easter eggs that are are produced this time of the year and we are not allowed to eat these as they contain gelatine(BEEF) and this goes for the muslims as well. as you are losing a lot of revenue due to this is there no way that you can leave out the gelatine content(any meat)

As a lover of fizz pops and a mother of small children who also love fizz pops, I would like to find out why you have changed the sealing of these suckers? They are next to impossible to open and I often have to resort to a cutting the wrapper off with a pair of scissors!!! Definitely not conducive to being eaten!!!!

I love Chocolates, and have been buying Beacons chocolates for a number of years now. I have noticed that Beacon is including GMO productes in their chocolates. I will therefore not be buying anymore Beacon products. Say NO to GMO.
I like Maynards original wine gums, but wondering if it is a concious act by Beacon to only put two green gums in the rolls and three of all the other colours where in the past when I have purchased them there have been three greens.

Hi there. today I bought a Nosh bar hoping to enjoy the delicious combination of "hazelnuts in nougat with creamy caramel, all smothered in delicious milk chocolate" only to find that there was not a single hazelnut in the entire bar. I realise this may seem like a trivial complaint, but I paid for the whole 'package'and expected to get my moneys worth, but alas I did not and I hope you will somehow rectify this or compensate.

I've bought 4 100g slabs of beacon Chocolate ("Milk Smooth Chocolate Sensation") on Friday 2nd July 2010. One for each of my family. We started eating it in the movies. However we had to stop as there was something seriously wrong with the taste. On closer inspection in the light we saw that the "Best Before Date" was 10/01/10 which means it was overdue by SIX MONTHS! It was bought at Game Stores at Wonderpark shopping centre in Karenpark. The batch number of these were : 271 222 1. Can you please follow up with the said store as I do not think it is expected of consumers to check each and every "Sell By" date on the products. Especially when it is so long overdue! The chocolate was grossly discoloured as well. If you send me your email address I will take pictures and send this to you. Unfortunately 2 of the 4 had to be thrown away and their is only 2 left as proof of this accusation. Unfortunately we do not have the till slip anymore but I do not think that it would change this kind of behaviour on their side and that inspections should come from the Supplier's side. I had the unfirtuanate experience of purchasing some chocolates at our local pep stores, after giving most away as gifts and only keeping two for myself, I felt the urge to sit, relax and enjoy my chocolates in peace and quiet, only to discover to my horror that they have in fact expired and therefore tasted absolutely revolting. I unfortuanately cannot call the hot line, so what am I supposed to do. Please contact me regarding this incident I am writing this to you while sitting with an extremely bad taste in my mouth after thinking maybe only one would be expired however, found to my utter disgust that both were, and am highly upset now as I really do enjoy my chocolates.
