now-how: Hands-on experience for Superior Solutions and Service you can depend on. Matulor Tank Services has successfully introduced – into the South African market – an internationally accredited tank leak integrity testing system which is readily accepted as the most sophisticated Vacusonic testing system worldwide. This system is recognised as the foremost advance in tank testing technology over the past 10 years. The equipment uses digital technology to analyse the acoustic signals from the tank being tested. The precise and conclusive results are achieved quickly (within minutes) and without human intervention. This equipment carries USEPA accreditation (The Seal of the United States Environmental Protection Agency) as being the most accurate equipment available for non-volumetric tank testing.
Our Method: Cleaning of Fuel Storage Tanks Using our specialized techniques, based on the best practices overseas and adapted to South African conditions, we are able to vacuum the entire length and breadth of a fuel storage tank. These vacuum-cleaning techniques ensure the removal of all water, sludge, rust and other contaminant from even the most-difficult-to-reach areas of storage tanks. As an extension to this vacuum cleaning process we are able to impingement clean the tank; this is a tank flushing process, using a special cleaning mixture. Impingement cleaning is ideally suited to highly contaminated tanks; tanks that have been unused for extended periods; and | or tanks where the contained product needs to be changed (product swops).
