Murex offers a view of the ocean and the garden, while at the same time being wheelchair friendly. It also has a fireplace, which can be used in winter. Cowrie is very large and spacious, has its own fireplace and lounge area. For the early risers the sun rise from this room is spectacular, as is the view of False Bay. Urchin offers the most spectacular view of False Bay, from Gordon's Bay in the East right across to Simon's Bay in the West. Whelk gives you a good view of False Bay. It has a fireplace for those chilly winter nights. Conch is a very quiet room in the centre of the house. An open plan bathroom makes this an intimate hide-away. Oyster is cosy sunrise room with a view of the mountain as well as the east side of False Bay. Nautilus is a sunny room with a view of historical 'Villa Capri', the original whaling station in False Bay, and its garden. Clam is a spacious room with a beautiful view of the False Bay mountains. Abalone is a peaceful room with a view of the mountains. Bathrooms: Some bathrooms have a separate bath and shower, while others have a shower over a luxurious corner bath. Each room/suite has an overhead fan, heater, tea/coffee tray, telephone and television for your convenience. Equally close are the scenic drives, and restaurants catering for all tastes, abound in Muizenberg, Kalk Bay and Fish Hoek. We are close to the Clovelly, Westlake and Royal Cape golf courses.

Samhitakasha is built from mud and straw, like many traditional African houses, but in this case using “cob” techniques perfected in parts of the west of Britain. It was built on a brown-field site, i.e. one that had a previous house on it, in an existing suburb (the previous house was demolished in the 1970s), rather than a green-field site – virgin soil which could be used for conservation or agriculture Wanting to share the pleasures of living in a cob home, we have created an Organic B&B, ideal for wholesome holiday accommodation in the beautiful city of Cape Town. The guest accommodation, with its own private entrance, consists of a spacious triple bedroom with ensuite shower and ablution facilities. The main bed is a luxury queen-size bed, and there is also a single futon bed suitable for an additional adult, which can be opened up into two futons if a family of four wishes to take the room. Linen, curtains, mattresses, towels etc. have all been made from natural and organic or recycled materials. The room features views of the Cape mountains. There is access to the garden (still in early growth, after a few years as mostly piles of sand and clay!) and off-street parking available.

The Lodge is situated en route to Cape Point and overlooks the unspoilt and sheltered beauty of Boulders Beach. The Boulders Coastal Park, which forms part of the Table Mountian National Park, is one of the few sites where the vulnerable African Penguin can be observed at close range. The African penguin colony remains the prime attraction for our guests. The penguins are plentiful and have adapted to a co-existance with humans thus enabling you to observe them in their natural enviroment. The penguins can also be found walking around the lodge and restaurant. Each room has complimentary sherry, Amrula and Lindt chocolates on the pilows to soothe and relax you, after a long day chilling at the beach.
