In 2011, the Halfway Group bought over Ottery Toyota (then, a large dealer), under the leadership of Dealer Principle, James Wood and General Manager, Calvin Govender. With a lot of uncertainty and feelings of insecurity, the existing staff started their journey with the Halfway Family.Servicing its surrounds in the Cape Flats, such as Ottery, Wetton, Wynberg, Grassy Park, Lotus River, Strandfontein, Mitchells Plain, Khayelitsha, Phillippi, Gugulethu, Manenberg and Hanover Park (amongst others), Halfway Toyota ottery soon grew to be the most successful dealership in the Western Cape and was re-catagorized as a mega dealership in 2013 (Thanks to the support of the community). Halfway Toyota Otter now employs over 108 people, mostly from our community.Our success is largely based on the people we employ from the community we sell to.Because of our growth and success, it was decided to launch a satellite dealership, dealing in quality used cars to be able to service all sectors of our community.
