There is no doubt, I'm a huge fan of LinkedIn. Why

27 May 2022

Here are my top 5 reasons for using LinkedIn;

It's easy to connect with current and old colleagues
It's even easier to connect with like minded professionals
Great articles and content to enjoy and learn from (not like Facebook)
Learning opportunities with the paid version - something like 16,000+ online courses
Finally, keeping track / record of my work experience. The day you need to print your CV quickly, well guess what, that's a feature on LinkedIn. It prints / downloads your work experience in the format of a CV. It automatically uses your profile pic, uses the bio you wrote, lists accomplishments, has your education listed and your work experience has the timeline included.

The paid LinkedIn version is called LinkedIn Premium and the one I am currently using is LinkedIn Career, which is R450 per month (May 2022). If you don't see that price, then send them a quick mail and LinkedIn will get you sorted.

LinkedIn Career is great for me as I get to build my knowledge with their online courses and I get access to professionals in my area.

Anyone wanting to get LinkedIn Premium and not sure which option they want to subscribe to, there is a breakdown with benefits and prices. You'll automatically see the price breakdown in ZAR unless you hide your VPN, in which case you'll then see the USD prices. The benefits and features remain the same.

If you haven't yet, be sure to join the LinkedIn network.
