The house is self-contained in its own gardens and is comprised of a spacious living area, with separate TV area, large fully fitted kitchen with dining area with seating for 8. There are four bedrooms available each with their own bathroom. Outside there is a large shaded veranda, gardens and secure parking for your cars. Off the kitchen is the dining area with a table large enough to seat 8 people which has a door opening onto the veranda. Sitting room (ground floor) Open plan sitting room with sofas and armchairs and double doors opening onto the veranda overlooking the gardens. Within the open plan area there is a separate TV area with a sofa, armchair and flat screen TV. Sitting room (first floor) In addition to the open plan sitting room on the ground floor, there is also a large sitting room area on the first floor, which the bedrooms lead off. There is a sofa and armchair and flat screen TV in the sitting room on the first floor and double doors open onto the large balcony overlooking the gardens.

The accommodation consists of two upstairs bedrooms, one with King size sleigh bed and the other with a Queen sized bed. Each room has a large shower and double basin vanity. The other three bedrooms are adjacent to the main house. Two of the rooms have bath, shower and double basin vanity whilst the third has a large shower and double basin vanity. Two have Queen sized beds and one room has twin beds. The sixth room is our luxury cottage with Queen sized bed. It has an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, double basin vanity and a separate lounge with sleeper couch and private veranda. The Lodge is centrally situated on the farm and is surrounded by a beautiful garden. A large fish pond nestles on a granite floor and is home to other aquatic life. The lilies bloom on the water and make a restful place to sit and take in the peace under the shady trees. Large palms and many old, indigenous trees attract a variety of birds into the garden. Many species have been identified. Come and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere around the pool and listen to the birds as they settle for the night. We have a large swimming pool which is situated conveniently just off the lodge patio and gives a truly relaxed atmosphere where guests can laze around in the chaise lounges and read or just take in the serenity of the garden. The pool is unfenced and parents are requested to take responsibility of their children. Full breakfast is provided and tea and coffee is available at all times. Evening meals are on request only and limited to allow for easy catering. Braais can be arranged.

Closer to our home are the local places of interest, a mere thirty minutes drive taking you into the world renowned Kruger National Park, while the reverse direction, and in the same driving time, finds you up on the Escarpment at 1400m altitude, which is the southern most tip of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, where you will find Blyde River Canyon, the second deepest canyon in the world, Gods Window, and of course the gold rush village, now a national monument, of Pilgrim’s Rest. The surrounding area provides just about every sporting and leisure activity which may be your pleasure, which we will be happy to advise and arrange for you, even to such activities as trout fishing up on the escarpment and helicopter trips over the main landscape landmarks. Many famous artists have made their home in our area, and high class crafts, curios and artifacts are available. Finally, we can assist you with car hire, organized tours, and with transfer services from both our nearby Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (MPQ) and Johannesburg’s International Airport which is a three-and-a-half hours drive away. We have 7 en-suite rooms, all with private entrances. Most of the rooms have a private outside courtyard (and some have an outside shower in the courtyard). Some of the rooms have a large farm style veranda ideally suited to the Lowveld climate. All bedrooms are individually decorated with solid, bold, Indonesian Teak furniture along minimalist lines to add to the feeling of peace, serenity and tranquillity. The Koi pond, gently cascading all around the house, meandering in and out of the courtyards, reflects a feeling of calm delight. The spacious lounge with its oversized daybeds is ideal for lazy, relaxing afternoons. Breakfast, is served in the dining room, where all the windows and doors can be stacked away to open the entire space to the front garden. Dinner on request, please give us a days notice. The lush subtropical garden with it¿s rolling lawn, majestic Royal palms, large dappled shade trees, orchids, epiphytic ferns, colourful shrubs and rare plant collectors plants is a cool escape.
