One of the main benefits of joining us on an overlanding or safari adventure is that we are keen to share; we would love to show you the secrets of Southern Africa. There are many companies that offer this and similar services, but not many are legally qualified to take you on these overland tours. When you do your research, ask for the guides’ qualification; ensure they are suitably qualified and have extensive First Aid experience and a Guiding and 4×4 suitable qualification. There are very strict and firm guideline for this on the Department of Tourism’s website. We have these qualifications and we will not expose you to any danger that we are not qualified to handle….
We love travelling and exploring new place and sites is what we do. Taking that turn-off is why we know about the secret places; we will take you there and share these places. We like stopping along the way if time allows it. Waiting for something at a waterhole can be very rewarding. We are not going to rush to the next campsite or overnight stop; you determine the pace as long as it is reasonable. We get up early and we are never in a rush…
Also, we love to cook! So you will have great meals on most of our tours; we also do self-catering tours. We cater for many of of tours and do one-meal-a-day. We prepare traditional South African camp food, like a “braai” (barbecue) and most of the meals are cooked on the campfire. If you have never done this before, we will assist and teach you what we know. You might get a turn to cook for the group if you are interested. This is a lot of fun and sometimes an adventure on its own…
After discussing where you want to go, your overlanding and safari requirements and what you want to see, we will plan the route. Another option is to join one of our scheduled and organised overland tours. We also do exploration tours every now and then. Most of these are also off the beaten track. If you are keen to join in one of these “recce” overland tours where we explore new areas, you are welcome to join in. These are offered at discounted rates. We will do all the research before and ensure an enjoyable trip; these overland tours are all about exploration and discovering new places.
