INTRODUCTION About Us: East Rand Scales cc was established in 1991 and founded by the late “Choppie” Smith. The Springs based scale company has since become a well known leader in the industry with clientele as far as Zimbabwe and Mozambique. In the early 90's we acquired SANAS (South African National Accreditation System) accreditation which enables us to test and verify weighing equipment up to and including 100 ton. Our main operations include sales, service, and repairs of weighbridges, scales and loadcells as well as verifications and calibrations. We carry out the above mentioned services, and as the sole agents for Universal Trade Electronics we have our own range of weighing equipment ranging from simple table weighers to industrial strength weighbridges. We have served many industries with a variety of weighing requirements including agriculture, retail, mining, mineral resources, medical and pharmaceuticals to name a few. OUR TEAM East Rand Scales cc has trained a very capable team of qualified technicians, each of which is assisted by an apprentice. They are equipped with all the necessary tools and parts to repair and test weighing equipment on site and in our workshop. Our technicians are able to perform a number of scale related functions including repairs, calibration, verification and fabrication of new products and can also update your existing equipment to more technologically advanced instrumentation. We have combined a team of highly experienced staff over the past twenty years that have mastered their trade and are highly capable of performing any scale related work. By combining all these experts, we are able to offer turnkey projects to all our customers which saves them money. Our friendly office staff are available from Mondays to Fridays and can assist with quotations, call-outs and any queries you may have about weighing instrumentation. We also offer 24 hour service to contract clients.
