On 12 December 2025, I purchased a pre-owned iPhone 13 (cash) from Vodacom 4U at Westgate Mall. I was told the phone was not in store but was pressured to pay upfront and promised delivery the following Monday.
Since then, I have returned to the store multiple times and received nothing but excuses and changing stories. On 16 December 2025, I was told by staff that the consultant who sold me the phone was “in training,” only to be told over the phone that he was actually outside the store. This shows clear dishonesty and avoidance.
I paid cash, yet delivery keeps being postponed, communication is extremely poor, and the consultant is actively avoiding me by telling colleagues to say he is not available. I have now stopped traveling to the store because it is a waste of time. Vodacom 4U is holding my money without delivering the product.
This conduct is misleading, unethical, and completely unacceptable. No customer should be treated this way after paying cash.
Direct Demand
I demand immediate delivery of the phone within 24 hours or a full cash refund with proof. If this is not resolved urgently, I will escalate this matter to Vodacom head office and consumer protection bodies.
