The manufacturer with good technical ability can master the accuraty of the web plate lofting blanking but the manufacturer with week technical ability can not master well the web lofting size.
Because the shape and size of roof beam related to the rigor of beam and column connection, web plate size directly affect the appearance and size of beam,so it is especially important. In the general designation of steel structure workshop, there’s a certain springing requirement to the roof beam. Its purpose is to offset the bending deflection after the whole installation, which is due to beam body itself and the roof load effect, so just to installation size. The height of the springing is desided by the designer. In order to ensure the springing degrees, roof beam shape size need to make some adjustment, from this point, beam production difficulty far outweigh the column production difficulty. When we make on-site inspection, we should take the appearance of beam size and beam end connection plate for key point, the purpose of which is to ensure that the overall effect after installation and ensure the rigor of beam and column.
We have found such a situation that there’s wedge gap between beam and column after installation, then the large hex head bolt has lost the original design of the proposed main role, only responsible for supporting role, no friction between beam and column. In order to eliminate the hidden trouble, then we added shear key to improve the roof supporting ability at the top of the column and bottom of the beam connection plate. Practice has proved, the effect is very good. In the actual construction, due to a variety of factors, the beam and column are not closed well, sometime it seems that closed, but in fact they can not reach the requirements, lead to joint surface friction relatively weakening. In view of this, we hope that in the design of steel structure workshop , we suggested add shear key, to ensure that the column support ability to the roof. Shear key is small, but take effect.In order to avoid and reduce the column, beam, tie bar and other fittings occur deformation in the transport process, you should ask the shipping company to add more supporting points in the full length range when strap the steel structure components to reduce deformation due to vibration or weigh in the course of carriage; In loading should use two points lifting, if components is super long, can use long pole to increase lifting point;

Do not plie up the components over 3 levels on site to prevent deformation due to heavey load. Don't relax the control of transportation, hanging out and stacked links, otherwise, even if the steel structure components are made accurate, the problem due to the transportation link can also lead to big trouble when make installation.
