We manufacture, market and distribute medical and surgical equipment and related consumables. Our customers include hospitals, wholesalers and retail pharmacies. We also operate in niche market segments such as emergency medicine, critical care, anaesthesia and capital equipment. Additional focus areas include cardiology surgical devices and laparoscopic instrumentation. These speciality areas are marketed by a separate division, Thebe Advanced Surgical Solutions (TASS).
Originally an investment holding company, Thebe’s initial interest included the financial services, entertainment and leisure, IT, property, education and healthcare sectors. In 2000, the company underwent a radical transformation to keep pace with changes in the market, after which its interests were structured into four pillars, namely financial services, portfolio holdings, tourism and private equity investments.
