COMPETITION!!!

Each month, Kiewiet holds a short story competition in an attempt to discover the unpublished and talented writers of South Africa and Africa. The winning entries will be published in an anthology at the end of the year which will be made available as a paperback to the public.

The rules are as follows:

Writer must be resident in South Africa or in another African country.

Each story must adhere to the guidelines in terms of theme and word count for the relevant month.

You may submit as many entries as you wish each month to [email protected].

Entries must be submitted via email. No postal entries will be accepted.

Closing date for each particular month is the last day of the month. The winner will be announced seven days after the closing date.

There is NO entry fee. Some things in life are free.

December 2015: The theme is Christmas in Africa and the word limit is ONE THOUSAND words. Be creative, be serious, be funny. Just write that story.
