2
Mandatory fields (must be completed)

The following fields must be completed for each listing

Action

Complete this field only when you want to change the status of a listing. This field tells us what specific action to take for that entry in your bulk upload file.

  • Leave it empty: To add a new listing or update an existing one, leave this field blank.
  • Add "cancel": If you don’t want to use or pay for bulk services for a listing anymore, write cancel. This will stop the connection between your listing and Cylex.
  • Add "inactive": If the business location has closed or the person has retired, write inactive. We will mark the listing as closed in our directory.
File Entry ID Guidelines

The File Entry ID is a mandatory, manually created, unique identifier assigned to each business listing. It must be

  • Unique within the same file — duplicate IDs are not allowed
  • Consistently reused when updating an existing listing.
  • Never reassigned to a different business — doing so may cause incorrect listing merges.
Important

To avoid errors, always use the same File Entry ID for the same business across all future uploads. Each new upload completely replaces the previous data for that listing based on the File Entry ID.

  • Allowed Characters:
    • Uppercase letters: A–Z
    • Digits: 0–9
    • Dash (-): for separating parts of the ID
  • Examples: Numeric-Only File Entry IDs
    • 100001
    • 200045
    • 300789
Examples: Alphanumeric File Entry IDs (Letters + Numbers + Dashes):
    • NY2048B
