The Lodge: The Summit Lodge offers 12 thatched roof rondavels, one cute log hut and 3 self catering units. There is also a Honeymooner's rondavel. A nice, large double size rondavel with double bed, bathroom, kitchen, lounge area, TV and private porch. Honeymooners receive a bottle of champagne and fruit parcel on first night. All rooms are equipped with TV, bathroom, towels, kettle, tea / coffee, shower gel, lotion, shower caps, sewing kits and hairdryers on request. The spacious one hectare lawned garden, filled with indigenous tree ferns and other plants means well spaced rondavels, providing ample parking space and privacy. Backpackers: Accommodation is in a funky and unique backpackers' train coach for the budget conscious. Private compartments each sleeping 1-2 persons. Camp Site: The neat and lawned camp site and swimming pool in the lush, electrically fenced garden, is safe and affordable. Bring your own tent. Our restaurant is open from 07h00 in the morning. Self catering guests are welcome to order cash breakfasts from our a-la-carte breakfast menu. The restaurant stays open until 21h00 and our ribs and fillets are the best!

We are close to beautiful scenic wonders such as God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the world renowned Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondawels, The Pinnacle as well as spectacular waterfalls such as the Forest, Lisbon, Mac-Mac, Berlin and Lone Creek. The Sudwala caves are also less than an hour’s drive. Restaurants, shopping, curios and bank facilities are within walking distance from us. Four of the bedrooms have satellite TV; hospitality trays with rusks/biscuits and a selection of beverages and refreshments on request. Our rooms also have oil fired heaters with fans in the two first floor bedrooms for the rare occasions when they are needed. Situated at an elevation of 1 400m above sea-level, we have a very mild climate with a constant cool breeze coming to us from the escarpment a mere 750m away All the rooms have white 100% cotton Percale linen on the beds; white towells with pure silk duvets in our Garden (Fleur-de-Lis) suites. When we say we offer ¿luxury¿ accommodation we back up the claim with a 4 Star grading from the South African Tourism Grading Council whilst the prestigious Portfolio Bed and Breakfast publication have accredited us as ¿luxury¿ accommodation. We offer secure, (electronically controlled main entrance gate) off-street parking under a shade cloth carport. Graskop is in the heart of the Panorama Route with Sabie 28km to the south; Pilgrim¿s Rest 18km to the west and a host of waterfalls; God¿s Window and the world renowned Blyde River Canyon (the third largest in the world) stretching from Graskop for a distance of 58 km to the north. There is a 9 hole golf course (with different tees) at Pilgrim¿s Rest and two others at Hazyview, 58km to the east of ¿Westlodge¿. Trout fishing is endemic to the area whilst Graskop, with its undulating hills, is a cyclists paradise. Graskop is also home to the endangered ¿Blue Swallow.¿ There are many walks in and around Graskop. ¿Westlodge¿ overlooks ¿Fairyland¿ which offers 2 and 3 hour walks whilst we are also situated on the Fanie Botha hiking (5 day) trail through the Mpumalanga Parks Board¿s Nature Reserve.

Our luxury self catering chalets have their own gardens with barbeque facilities and secure undercover parking. Each fully equipped chalet includes either one or two bedrooms, a lounge with fireplace and satellite television to get our local network. Each chalet has either a full dining room or dining area and a fully equipped kitchen including stove, microwave, coffee percolator and electric frying pan. All bathrooms have both shower and bath. Each chalet has a fireplace in the lounge with wood provided and the rooms all have their own oil heaters as the mountain air can get cool at night. The fully equipped chalets means that all you need to bring is your clothes, food and beach towels the rest we supply and the chalets are serviced daily. Laundry service is available at a nominal fee. Airport transfers from Hoedspruit and Nelspruit will be arranged for you on request. The Lodge is family orientated having a children¿s playground, it is also nestled in a natural mountain setting with great views, and a farm style out of town appeal. The environment offers guests great hiking, mountain biking, birding and scuba diving in a high altitude river, near the Lodge. The lodge is a NAUI dive facility, which can provide dive training from Open Water Diver to Dive Master Qualifications. Daily excursions and tours are conducted into the Blyde Canyon and Kruger Park, from the Lodge by our qualified and FGASA registered guide and diving Instructor. Longer three, five and seven night Wildlife, Adventure or Scuba Diving Tours can also be arranged. The Blyde River Canyon area of Mpumalanga has great opportunities for adventure activities. There are many organizations in the immediate area that provide services for river rafting, rock climbing, trout fishing, hiking, birding, hot air ballooning, horse riding, quad biking, and 4x4 trails as well as many other activities.
