Why are regular visits to your Optometrist important?

Optometrists love to see healthy, happy eyes so a comprehensive examination should include:

A thorough internal and external evaluation of the eyes and associated structures to ensure there are no abnormalities or ocular diseases present. Many diseases like: Hypertension, Diabetes and Thyroid problems have ocular manifestations and can be picked up via simple routine testing.

A complete evaluation of your quality of  both your aided and unaided vision, to ensure your visual ability meets your visual demands.

A careful determination of your prescription both for distance and near vision. Most of us have a prescription of some degree, and many prescriptions are so low that they do not require any spectacle correction.

An accurate measure of your peripheral vision, to ensure you have a full field of view which is imperative for driving.

You only have two eyes: LOOK AFTER THEM!
