Fans can witness one match of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ semi-finals in the recently built Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. The construction of the venue was inspired by the South African flag; its impressive arch symbolizes the unity of this nation so eager about football. The arch has two legs at the Southern side while on the Northern side they form a single leg, representing the oneness of the country. The multi-purpose Moses Mabhida Stadium has a capacity of 70, 000 fans and it is designed as a special amphitheatre with a cable car that rises to a viewing podium at the top of the 350 meter arch, 106 meters above the playing field. From this special perspective the supporters can have a unique experience, viewing not only the matches but the admiring the whole town as well. The roof is linked to the arch with a number of steel cables each having 95 mm diameter. The seats are spacious and comfortable, thus the sight-line is undisturbed.
