Under supervision, constructs, modifies and repairs a wide variety of metal parts using oxyacetylene, arc or Heli arc welding apparatus, assists in mechanical and structural repairs to equipment and facilities, and does related work as required. Welding is a fabrication or sculptural process that joins materials, usually metals or thermoplastics, by causing fusion, which is distinct from lower temperature metal-joining techniques such as brazing and soldering, which do not melt the base metal.
