Wordsource, Milnerton

Formed by former journalist and photographer Jaco Wolmarans in 1999, Wordsource has broadened its scope of work over the years to include commercial photography and full video productions to complement its copy writing, translation and proofreading service. It works in close conjunction with design houses Out of the Blue, Blueberry Advertising and editing facility Lemon Tree Productions.
Wordsource specialises in the field of information design, particularly for the web and brochures. This involves the structuring of brochure-type information into intelligent, intuitive text, in the case of the web - copy that simplifies navigation and pre-empts web user navigation patterns, and in the case of brochure material, copy that complements and in many cases determines the design.
This approach, we believe, is essential for good communication. Rather than writing the copy in isolation and supplying this as a fait accompli to the layout artist, we apply a simultaneous textual and graphic-mindedness to the writing process, suggesting visuals, headings, pay-off lines and position statements in conjunction with and complementing visuals.

The same care is extended to the translation, editing and proofreading of others' work - if the piece is not communicating well, we'll alert you and suggest changes to make your own copy flow and communicate better.
Trading as pictureperfect.co.za from Milnerton in Cape Town, Wordsource's extensive photographic services range from the supply of stock images to commercial (product) photography to photographic training.
We have produced two full stock libraries for SA trade promotions agency Wesgro, and regularly supply images to advertising agencies Out of the Blue and Blueberry Advertising. Some of our work displayed at Picture Perfect
