The heart of West Rand Recyclers business is the recovery of precious and semi precious metals from electronic printed circuit boards, motherboards, computer connectors, electrical and electronic components.

This is done with a process unique to West Rand, that does not involve incineration or the use of dangerous chemicals.

West Rand Computer Recyclers registered as Ewest Computer Junk Yard a company that has been in operation for the past three years. Our office and main processing yard is in Roodepoort.

For computer hardware and precious metal content material, the prices quoted are as follows:

Prices are quoted per kilogram on the high-grade material such as gold plated integrated circuits (ICs), gold fingers and CPUs.
TCMs and MCMs are quoted per unit.
High grade printed circuit boards are quoted per metric tone.
Medium grade printed circuit boards are quoted per metric tone.
Low grade printed circuit boards are quoted per metric tone.
Mainframe and telecommunication equipment is quoted.
