Description
Vital Care, was established in 2002 by Sister Wendy MacNicol (previously Wendy Smith). Wendy a registered Nursing sister, has nurtured one of the most reputable care giving and training agencies in Durban and surrounding areas.
Many clients are now referred to Vital Care by their medical practitioners.
Vital Care has earned its reputation for providing reliable, experienced and affordable caregivers, companions and child minders to clients in the Durban, Durban North, La Lucia and Mount Edgecombe areas and have cared for more than 2000 patients in their own homes. We train our own care givers lthrough our sister company VITAL SKILLS, using a Health and Welfare SETA accredited programme and all caregivers are properly screened before placement.

Vital Care is available to you and your family in the Durban North, Umhlangha, La Lucia, Mt Edgecombe and Berea areas. Vital Care provides a range of step down care programmes as well as child care.
We at Vital care promise to provide professional, comprehensive and holistic care to ALL of our patients. For this reason we personally select only the best staff, after monitoring them and assessing them during our 6 week training and orientation program.
All staff selected have completed HWSETA accredited home based care training, including Level 1 First Aid and HIV & AIDS awareness. After thorough screening, personality assessment, health and reference checks, the caregivers receive additional training in a local senior citizens home. If they pass our stringent recruitment standards, we employ the top students on a fixed term contract basis.
